This weekend Bug Prentice played at the infamous Glastonbury Festival, blowing the minds of literally tens of people. Fortunately we had the good sense to record the momentous occasion for posterity, so here’s a little song about the sorely-missed Phil Hartman.
Avid Bug Prentice fans may notice some new faces in this video. Ruth and Stephen were otherwise engaged but, this being football season, we brought in substitutes: Colin Somervell (bass) and Edgar Post (drums). Good game, lads.

Just Do Anything?
a demo by Ally
Many of my recent songwriting efforts have been inspired by Hollywood, from Woody Allen to Nicholas Ray. This one is a short, silly tribute to the great Orson Welles. Mahh, the French…
Note: I recommend downloading the MP3, the streaming version sounds a little odd to me.
Room On His Own (working title)
a rough demo by Ally
This song has been clunking about in my skull for years, but it wasn’t until recently I managed to concoct a satisfactory demo. The lyrics are adapted from an overheard conversation regarding a kleptomaniac seagull and anecdotes about the dark impulses of children, lest you fear for my sanity.
Bug Prentice will be appearing on Resonance104.4fm’s Disorder at the Border tonight at 8pm. We’ll be playing live, chatting and sharing recordings of Steve and Ruth’s various other projects. If you’re outside London, you can listen to the station on their website.
