Ally Craig is playing a set at Mayor of London’s Liberty Festival, part of National Paralympic Day at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on Saturday 7th September 2013. He will be joined by Ben Bastin on double bass, and fellow Bug Prentice member Stephen Gilchrist on drums.
For the first time at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, the Liberty Festival presents an exciting programme of Deaf and disability arts including street theatre, dance, live music, film, installations and children’s activities. Don’t miss the new dance performance commissioned exclusively for Liberty Festival entitled Cube of Curiosity, prepare to be amazed by Graeae’s inspiring performance ‘The Limbless Knight’, plus there’ll be a special appearance from singer Andrea Begley, winner of the BBC’s ‘The Voice’.
Liberty Festival runs from 1-6pm, with Ally’s set starting at 2:25. Entry is free, no ticket required.
If you want to see some amazing disability sporting events, you need to register for free tickets from Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
Our film-inspired song Nicholas Ray has been featured on the very first episode of The Geekeasy podcast.
Join Adam Stephen Kelly and Dr. Karen Oughton as they present the debut of The Geekeasy Podcast with a rather epic two-hour inaugural episode, featuring THE DARK KNIGHT RISES chit-chat, competitions to win tickets to a London world premiere, as well as every single season of CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM on DVD, a great interview with writer/director Sean Hogan as he discusses his new film THE DEVIL’S BUSINESS, and much, much more!
You can download the podcast here. (Warning, some of the conversation is NSFW.)
I am saddened by the news of Abbey Lincoln’s passing. Her albums with Max Roach rank among my favourites, and she will be sorely missed.
