Bug Prentice

Interviews: Disability Now & BBC Ouch!

That Glastonbury Attitude
Ally Craig interviewed in Disability Now

Last week I spoke to Cathy Raey about Bug Prentice, my links with Attitude Is Everything and the run-up to playing Glastonbury. You can now read the interview in Disability Now. Perhaps the excessive exclamation marks undermine my deadpan nature, but at least my nervous laughs and awkward silences are also omitted.

BBC Ouch! podcast
Disability talk show, includes phone interview with Ally Craig and music by Bug Prentice

I also spoke to Liz Carr and Simon Minty for the BBC Ouch! podcast. The interview begins around the 50 minute mark, if you’re the impatient type. The quickfire questions were a little awkward, but at least the show has a rousing musical finale.

Video: Lovitz vs Dick (live at Glastonbury 2010)

This weekend Bug Prentice played at the infamous Glastonbury Festival, blowing the minds of literally tens of people. Fortunately we had the good sense to record the momentous occasion for posterity, so here’s a little song about the sorely-missed Phil Hartman.

Avid Bug Prentice fans may notice some new faces in this video. Ruth and Stephen were otherwise engaged but, this being football season, we brought in substitutes: Colin Somervell (bass) and Edgar Post (drums). Good game, lads.

Bug Prentice at Glastonbury – TWICE!

Bug Prentice will be appearing twice at Glastonbury Festival 2010. My regular bandmates Ruth and Steve are both otherwise engaged, so Colin Somervell and Edgar Post are bravely stand-inning on bass and drums respectively. Both sets are on Saturday 26th June.

4:45pm — The Hub Stage (Shangri-La field)
Part of the Club Attitude showcase, which will include BSL interpreters. Attitude Is Everything work to improve Deaf and disabled access to live music, so I’m delighted to support them.

7:00pm — The Lunar Sea Lounge (Arcadia field)
The Lunar Sea Lounge is an all-new live music venue and bar in the Arcadia field. They have one of the latest licenses on the site, so after our disturbing music you can drink your troubles away into the wee small hours.
